Dutch Road Cycling races are competitive events that take place on paved roads in the Netherlands. They usually involve individual or team time trials, or mass-start road races. Some of the most prestigious Dutch Road Cycling races are the Netherlands Road Championships, which are held annually in June and determine the national champions in different categories , and the Volta Limburg Classic Tour, which is a one-day race that covers hilly terrain in the province of Limburg. Dutch Road Cycling races attract many professional and amateur cyclists from the Netherlands and abroad, and showcase the country's scenic landscapes and cycling culture.

35 imagesThe Amstel Gold Race is a prestigious one-day cycling race that takes place in the Netherlands every year. The 2022 edition was held on Sunday, April 10th, and was part of the UCI World Tour for men and the UCI Women's World Tour for women . The race featured a challenging course with 35 hills and a total distance of 254.1 kilometers for men and 116.9 kilometers for women . The women's race was won by Marianne Vos of Jumbo-Visma Women in a dominant solo performance. The Dutch rider attacked on the Cauberg climb with 18 kilometers to go and quickly opened up a gap on the rest of the peloton. She maintained her advantage until the finish line and crossed it with 37 seconds over her nearest rival, Elisa Longo Borghini of Trek-Segafredo Women. The Italian rider also finished second behind Vos in the 2013 edition of the race. The third place went to Katarzyna Niewiadoma of Canyon-SRAM Racing, who won the sprint from a small group of chasers. The Amstel Gold Race was a spectacular event that showcased some of the best riders in the world of cycling. It was also a historic edition as it marked the first time that both men's and women's races were broadcast live on television. The race was a great success for the organizers and the fans, who enjoyed a thrilling day of cycling action in the beautiful Limburg region. Both riders sprinted to the line after breaking away from a small group of chasers in the final kilometers. Kwiatkowski edged out Cosnefroy by a few millimeters and claimed his first victory in the Amstel Gold Race. The Polish rider also became the first former world champion to win the race since Philippe Gilbert in 2017. The third place went to Tiesj Benoot of Jumbo-Visma, who finished 10 seconds behind the leading duo. The Amstel Gold Race was a spectacular event that showcased some of the best riders in the world of cycling.
